Directive COM 2003 0644 (04) (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals) is
effective since June 2007 in Europe.
The existing legislation on classification, packing and labeling of hazardous substances
according to Directive 67/458 EWG is still valid.

Definition:
The aim of this regulation is to ensure the safe use of chemicals, preparations and articles.
It strengthens the industry’s responsibility for chemical safety.
Important update in November 2008:
On October 28, 2008, the competent authority for REACH ECHA published the first official
candidate list. After having checked the 15 substances of very high concern, we can confirm that
our Qimonda products do not contain any of these substances.
